Description
Please join the DMPA-SC Access Collaborative’s Learning and Action Network (LAN) for the final webinar in our series of three focused on DMPA-SC and self-injection training tools, strategies, and implementation experiences for virtual or small group training and supervision. The focus will be on virtual supportive supervision. The webinar will feature a presentation by Avotiana Rakotomanga of JSI, DMPA-SC Access Collaborative Country Coordinator for Madagascar, on a virtual provider supervision pilot that was designed due to COVID-19 disruptions to in-person supervision. Ms. Rakotomanga will share results from the pilot as well as an overview of the process, tools, and lessons learned. We will also hear from Dr. Mariam Luyiga, Senior Technical Advisor-SRH at PSI Uganda, who will be sharing the COVID-19 adaptations planned in Uganda for virtual supportive supervision at PSI’s social franchise facilities for improved quality of FP provision. Though the adaptations she will discuss are not specific to DMPA-SC, they provide valuable insight into adaptive supervisory methodologies that are being applied to ensure the provision of quality FP service during the Covid-19 pandemic.
