As we respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are quickly implementing solutions to solve for the here and now. But we can’t stop there. This crisis has laid bare the need to reimagine how we deliver health care. As we adapt and innovate to meet the demands of this immediate crisis—including fighting COVID-19 and protecting essential health services—we must also consider what steps we can take now that will lead to stronger health systems when the crisis abates.
The conversation will explore questions like:
- What does it mean to have a resilient primary health care system?
- What innovations in service delivery can continue after COVID-19 to make care more people-centered?
- How can we lay the groundwork now for more resilient health systems that will better meet the needs of communities and be able to handle future threats?
